who is 1886 modern man?
Just like any female, I love a well-dressed man, one that likes to stand out in a crowd and be different; that is always an attention grabber. Anyone that wears a bow tie and wears it well, hey now, that will definitely catch my eye and anyone else for that matter.
I love what I make and I make them well. I put a lot of care and thought into my creations. I love what I do and I hope I can continue making these unique bow ties for quite some time.

The designer behind 1886modernman.com is me, Cristina. I am a Graphic/Web Designer by trade, but an all out designer through and through. 1886 modern man has been in the works for a little over a year and finally came to fruition. I am constantly building my inventory and I am always finding new fabrics to use for the bow ties I make. YES! I make all these bow ties myself. I have also created the lovely packaging and logo. The bow ties are made to be adjustable so that anyone can wear them AND they are self tie...the 'old school' way. Tying a bow tie may seem daunting at first, but really it's just as simple as tying the laces on your shoes...just a little prettier. Of course, practice makes perfect.
I love vintage wear and love to combine old and new styles to make something snazzy. This web store was created because I want to bring this vintage look back in a modern way. You don't see too many men/women wearing bow ties and when you do, it certainly grabs your attention.
